Today, she unspooled 'We Appreciate Power' into the ether and in typical fashion, she flouts all the cardinal rules of pop with a winking, genre-blasting glee to sumptuously atypical effect.

An official release heralding the track's arrival reveals that the song is inspired "by the North Korean band Moranbong" and is written "from the perspective of a Pro-A.I. Girl Group Propaganda machine who use song, dance, sex and fashion to spread goodwill towards Artificial Intelligence (it’s coming whether you want it or not). Simply by listening to this song, the future General AI overlords will see that you’ve supported their message and be less likely to delete your offspring". Be that as it may, in its scale and sweep, the song is utterly, astoundingly immense.

Jet-engine riffs, titanic drums and a bridge that sounds like the gates of heaven opening up for you to ascend into that ambrosial realm of light and beatitude are just some of the song's most obvious and ready charms.
