King & Prince will be a duo starting May 2023.

Surprising fans all over the world, Johnny's and Associates released an official statement sharing that King & Prince members Sho Hirano, Yuta Jinguji, and Yuta Kishi will be leaving the group on 22 May 2023. Hirano and Jinguji will also be ending their contracts with Johnny's and Associates in May 2023, while Kishi will leave the agency in the autumn of next year.

King & Prince will continue as a duo with remaining members Ren Nagase and Kaito Takahashi from 23 May 2023 onwards.

The popular J-pop act officially debuted as a 6-member act in 2018 as the first signed artist of Johnny's label under Universal Music Group, Johnny's Universe. This marks the group's second lineup change after Genki Iwahashi left in March 2021.

The award-winning group has four Number 1 albums under their belt with Made In as their latest release from June this year. The group is slated to drop a new single album titled 'Tsukiyomi / Irodori' on 9 November.
