Hikaru Utada is back with a brand-new album.
The Japanese singer-songwriter just dropped her latest record, BAD MODE this 19 January. This comes as her 8th studio album following 2018's Hatsukoi and her first-ever bilingual album.
And I can’t wait for this song to be released in full… (as well as the other new songs in the album!) I love how this video turned out https://t.co/49uQ8Ymc2l

The album features 14 tracks including 'Kimini Muchuu' off of the official soundtrack of the Japanese romance drama Saiai, and both the Japanese and English versions of 'Face My Fears' with Skrillex from the role-playing video game Kingdom Hearts III.

Ahead of the release of the new record, the 'Anata' act shared the short version of her title track 'BAD MODE' and its accompanying music video earlier this week. The vivid visual was directed by Joe Conner, who previously worked on the music videos for Coldplay's 'Everglow' and Sam Smith's 'Pray', and serves as the first music video from the album.
To celebrate the release of BAD MODE, Hikaru Utada will also be holding a special online concert, Hikaru Utada Live Sessions from Air Studios on 19 January at 8 PM JST (6 PM JKT, 7 PM PHT/SGT). Tickets for the concert can be purchased via this link for JPY 3,326.
The concert will be available for delayed streaming until Sunday, 23 January.
