SM Entertainment's record-breaking year-end concert is set to take over the internet once more.
On 24 January, the agency announced that it will be having a global re-streaming of its 2022 New Year's Day Showcase, SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU EXPRESS@KWANGYA, on 29 January, 3 PM KST via Beyond Live and LG U+ IDOLLIVE.

Last year, the show set a new view record for a Korean online concert with over 51 million streams in 179 regions worldwide, with 40 new stages by their artists streamed via YouTube, BeyondLIVE, TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitch. This tops last year's Cultural Humanity concert, which had 35.83 million streams across multiple platforms.

The year-end concert, which debuted the special winter album, 2021 Winter SMTOWN : SMCU EXPRESS, featured performances by the likes of BoA, H.O.T.’s Kangta, Girls’ Generation – Oh!GG, TVXQ, Super Junior, Red Velvet, SHINee, EXO, NCT, and aespa. A new supergroup, Girls On Top, composed of BoA, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and Hyoyeon, Red Velvet’s Seulgi and Wendy, and aespa’s Winter and Karina, also had their debut stage in the concert.
