HYBS and Benny Sings lit up a Tuesday night (28/11) with their sparkling, soulful tunes to close out Karpos Live’s 2023 season.
Homegrown funk-pop act Flu was on opening duties at the Filinvest Tent, a fitting prelude to the double bill, which was truly a sweet, potent pairing.
Thai duo Alyn Wee and Karn Kasidej, known together as HYBS, had everyone swooning back at Wanderland last March, and for this headlining show, they came back with another indelible set – mellow and iridescent City Pop-esque tunes in tow.

Tim van Berkestijn a.k.a. Benny Sings had everyone equally transfixed with his blue-eyed melodies and warm, dulcet croon. The Dutch singer-songwriter performed an extensive 19-song set, also bringing some of his biggest hits to the Manila stage – the likes of: ‘Sunny Afternoon’, ‘Pyjamas’ (feat. Remi Wolf), ‘Rolled Up’ (feat. Mac DeMarco), and ‘Loving Is Easy’ (with Rex Orange County).
