ILLIT have returned with their first-ever comeback release, I’LL LIKE YOU, serving more irresistible ear candy after their smash hit of March 2024, ‘Magnetic’.
I’LL LIKE YOU, the BELIFT LAB girl group’s 2nd mini-album, features the lead single ‘Cherish (My Love)’, complete with an ultra-catchy hook and distinctive heart-shaped point moves.
“It shows ILLIT's confident character as they boldly declare, 'I want to know how you feel about me, but my feelings for you are more important than just that’,” the group said about the track in a media showcase in Seoul leading up to the release on 21 October.

“It's a dance pop track that captures elite's confident charm,” the eldest member, YUNAH, explained. “We put so much effort into this song, recording it seven times. It has truly helped us grow to the next level. Please stay tuned for this track that has taken us to new heights.”
ILLIT’s 2nd mini-album also includes the eponymous opening track, ‘Pimple’, ‘Tick-Tack’ and lastly, ‘IYKYK (If You Know You Know)’, a pop jam channelling the feelings of looking at a crush through dance and a pumping dance-forward melody.
“Every single track in this album captures a different vibe, so we put a lot of thought into how we can best express each song,” said IROHA.
"We aim to showcase more of ILLIT’s candid charms while also challenging ourselves to expand our musical color with new song styles," said MINJU. "So I hope that this album can show an upgraded version of ILLIT. And there is so much more in terms of music we want to share going forward."
“We often come up with the main theme of our songs based on our thoughts. So, I think the identity of ILLIT is reflected into our songs, and in this process, we try to mix in the thoughts that girls our age can relate to,” said WONHEE. “Our music is – in and of itself – like us.”
Even considering how ‘Magnetic’ has propelled their meteoric rise, the girls of ILLIT are determined not only to put their various charms on display, but their growth as well.
“We were overwhelmed by the amount of love and support that we received with ‘Magnetic.’ It was such a special experience. We are so, so grateful,” said MINJU.
“It gave us so much energy and made us want to present a better performance this time,” she added. “So, with this album, we really wanted to receive feedback that we've grown up compared to the previous album. We worked really hard and we're ready to perform this in front of the general public and in front of our [fans,] GLLITz.”
For the members, this growth entails listening attentively to constructive criticism. “We've been taking everyone's feedback to heart, carefully reviewing and practicing every detail of our live performances to keep improving,” said IROHA.
MOKA chimed in, “I worked really hard putting my all into every performance – almost as if I was debuting all over again. I always try to give my best with the same dedication as when I first started.”
“We created [I’LL LIKE YOU] with the hope of showcasing ILLIT’s unique charms to a wider audience, and we also worked hard to show how much we've grown since our last album. I hope our efforts truly shine through,” MOKA also said.
