Ever since she released her single 'Legend' back in 2023, Jaya Mezzaluna Bungari has been dormant on the music front, choosing instead to focus on her studies abroad. But thankfully, Mezzaluna is finally back with her sixth single entitled 'No Turning Back'.

Composed with help from songwriter Lisa Walean, this latest song about heartbreak and a failed relationship marks a new direction for the Indonesian singer-songwriter, "My earlier songs were written when I was still a teenager, from 2015. Over the years, I've changed as a person, and I wanted my music to reflect that change."

“My previous songs focused more on the musical instruments. Now, I’m paying more attention to my vocals, with simpler background music to highlight my voice. The song itself also changed a bit from the original demo. Some lyrics were shortened or adjusted to make it simple and flow better,” she explains.

Mezzaluna describes 'No Turning Back' with 3 words: "acoustic"; because it’s performed acoustically, "deep"; because of the emotional focus on her voice, and most intriguingly, "Adele"; since she feels the song has a similar vibe to the music of the singer she admires.

As Indonesia’s first artist signed to the OFFMUTE label, Mezzaluna reflects on her musical journey as she releases her sixth single. “From writing songs at 15 to recording them during my early college days, it’s been an unexpected journey. I hope I can keep creating music, even through difficult times like heartbreak. I want to keep enjoying what I do and hope this new song will resonate with people and reflect my passion and hard work.”
