Instagram Music and Reels are finally available in the Philippines.

On Wednesday (27/10), Facebook launched Reels, an in-app video editing tool in Instagram that lets users create and edit 60-second short-form clips to level up their creative skills and entertain people on a global platform.

7 songs to soundtrack your daily life to on Instagram Music — BTS, Olivia Rodrigo, aespa, Eraserheads, and more

Some of the editing tools include speeding up or slowing down portions of the video or audio, a timer and countdown, timed text and stickers, aligning objects across clips for seamless transitions, and touch-ups. All these clips can be shared through Instagram Stories, Direct Messages, News Feeds, and the new Reels tab.

"We see Reels as a core part of the future of entertainment on Instagram; and today, we are excited to give people in the Philippines new ways to express their authentic selves through Reels," Reels product manager Erin Pettigrew shares in a statement.

The launch of Reels and Music come alongside the addition of a licensed music and audio library that can be attached to user-generated content, made possible through a partnership with FILSCAP. Users can include the new feature as stickers and lyrics to their videos.

"We bring music into all of the places people already are sharing and connecting," Revie Sylviana, who heads entertainment partnerships in the Philippines, says. "This makes our opportunity with Music even more distinct: we work with our music partners to build social music opportunities for artists, writers, music lovers and people across our family of apps—in particular, Facebook and Instagram."

FILSCAP President Arturo Lui Pio shares, "How people listen to and express themselves through music is ever changing in today’s world. Facebook and Instagram music features definitely provide more space for music creators to celebrate their art and express themselves through music."
