Big news for fans of turn-of-the-millennium New York City indie rock – Interpol is back with new music, a single titled 'The Rover' from their new album.

The album, called Marauder, will be out 24 August. Their last album was El Pintor, released in 2014. 

The band made the announcement in an atypical but also thoroughly 21st century fashion: at a livestreamed press conference in Mexico City. Eagle-eyed fans on Reddit had also noticed that Interpol had restored a number of its old music videos to YouTube, in 1080p quality (bless). The band has also announced a few tour dates in North America in Europe.
