While following the guidelines of the enhanced community quarantine on Metro Manila to stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, The Itchyworms worked on 'The Silence' from home. Jugueta reveals that he and Nicolas passed parts of the song to each other to complete its structure and lyrics. He says, "We had good practice with all the digital concerts that have been going on since the start of the ECQ. We figured, we can record a whole EP/Album in this way."
