For the first time in his career, John Mayer is embarking on a solo acoustic tour.

In an Instagram post, the GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriter shares how he started his career on stage "with only a guitar and a microphone". Many years later, the 'Last Train Home' act goes back to his beginnings on the John Mayer Solo tour, with "Old songs. Newer Songs. Songs you haven't heard yet" – on acoustic, electric, and piano.

The arena tour will take the musician across the US and Canada, kicking off on 11 March in Newark, New Jersey and wrapping up on 14 April 14 in Los Angeles. Joining Mayer on the road are Lizzy McAlpine and Alec Benjamin. 

In 2021, Mayer released his eighth studio album titled Sob Rock, which he took on tour in 2022. 

Tickets to the John Mayer Solo tour go on sale to the general public on 3 February, 9 AM local time. Meanwhile, and exclusive fan presale is happening from 1 February, 9 AM local time to 2 February, 10 PM local time. Fans can sign up here until 1 February, 8 AM local time for access to presale tickets.
