Japanese artist KAIKA has released her debut album Umarerumaekara Kimiwo Shitteru on all streaming services.
The first full-length from pioneering virtual act KAF’s reality-blurring identity features songs completely written by the young creator herself, showcasing her growth as a songwriter as she tackles an eclectic variety of sounds all while exploring the full spectrum of emotions a young 20-something woman stepping into adulthood faces in modern Japan.
Umarerumaekara Kimiwo Shitteru charts the artistic development of KAIKA herself. She debuted the persona just over a year prior, and in the time since has shared delicate numbers such as 'Teddy Bear' and 'Stand By Me' alongside rollicking rock numbers such as 'Tokyo, Are We Good?'.
Debuting in 2024, KAIKA is an artist existing in the liminal space between the real world and digital life. She first appeared at virtual singer KAF’s solo show in January 2024, appearing on stage physically but, thanks to cutting-edge technology, able to appear as if she’s caught between worlds. She released her debut single 'Kaika' in April of the same year.
