King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard has released a new non-album single titled 'Planet B'.
Following the band's ambitious feat of releasing five studio albums in 2017, it took a much needed break to recoup and finally resurfaced with its first new single, 'Cyboogie' earlier this year. Now, however, the band has released a new single that will not feature on its upcoming album, Fishing for Fishies.
The single deviates from the band's typical psychedelic sound to feature a heavier sound, bordering on classic thrash metal, reminiscent of Metallica's Kill 'Em All. With blistering drum fills and guitar solos ablaze, King Gizzard stakes its claim as one of the most experimental and technically sound bands of our time.
The accompanying music video for 'Planet B' shows the band donning matching orange clothes, as they run around a barren field, barking, laughing and screaming in the process. Before long, someone pulls up in a car and shoots them down with a shotgun.

The single is currently absent from the Fishing for Fishies tracklist, which could hint at yet another King Gizzard album.
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard's Fishing for Fishies is set to be released on 29 March.
