Social media platform Kumu links up the talents of four-time Grammy award winner Michael Bublé and Tony award winner Lea Salonga to find the next big star on Sing For The Stars.
Sing For The Stars is an international singing competition held entirely online via livestream, powered by Kumu.
“[I’m sure] we’re going to find someone who makes us just go, ‘Wow,’” Michael predicts. “I bet you, in five years’ time, when the winner is topping the charts, we look back on [Sing for the Stars] and we can say, ‘They came from this, we discovered that.’ I cannot wait for these artists to enter my life.”
With sound advice to be anticipated under the nurturing of the award winning celebrity judges, contestants and viewers can expect to witness true artistic growth among participants. The Kumu-led contest also marks the first of both judges’ involvement in such a project.
The program was born out of the social media platform’s desire to create meaningful connections across the borders of distance and to foster inclusivity in the creative industry, ever since its initial launch in 2018. The Filipino video-sharing and e-commerce platform has steadily been making its name worldwide.

Lea says,”I know so many people who have gravitated to Kumu in particular.” The platform continues to break boundaries and create an equal space for creatives with Sing For The Stars, which premiered on 19 March at 9PM PHT and will be screening its next episode on the 26th March.
