Lauv is back with new music. 

On 8 April, the American singer-songwriter unveiled his latest single 'All 4 Nothing (I'm So In Love)'. This comes as the latest release from his upcoming album that's due later this year. Said to be a good representation of what to expect from the record, the track talks about holding on to love and peace amidst going through a difficult time. 

"I wrote with the song my girlfriend and it's about our relationship. It's really about finding love and a place where I felt like I was really low and suffering from a lot of anxiety," shared Lauv in a press conference. "It's about struggling with demons and darkness and finding a love that was super pure and being like 'oh my god like I can't lose this because if I lose this' or thinking that if I let it go then all of this like progress, all this like beauty coming in my life would all be for nothing."

Much like 'All 4 Nothing (I'm So In Love)', the rest of the album threads the line between lightness and darkness; it looks forward to peace and optimism while still acknowledging all the pain and sadness it took to get there. Lauv shares that it sees a more raw and honest side to his artistry, with many of the tracks delving into his personal experiences throughout the last couple of years. 

As a whole, the album explores the blurry and confusing transition from youth to adulthood, and the trials and tribulations that come with it. 

"The album, song by song, is a narration of growing up while also trying to stay a kid on the inside. All the songs very much have to do with that, and there are just different stories, moments, memories, and pieces of that in this record," said Lauv. 

Sonically, much like the album's overarching theme, Lauv shares that it's a balance of energy and emotion. "It's a lot of ups and downs. The album is super energetic with the drums and the vibe but there are a lot of ups and downs in the emotion. I also think is more cinematic and bigger than the last album so I'm excited," he said. 

Along with 'All 4 Nothing (I'm So In Love)', Lauv also previously released '26' from the upcoming record. The album will follow 2020's ~how I'm feeling~ and 2018's i met you when i was 18.
