LE SSERAFIM's Huh Yunjin and jazz singer-songwriter Laufey have shared their excitement over the possibility of a collaboration. 

On 24 September, a user by the name of @elsserafim uploaded a screenshot to X (formely known as Twitter) that showed Yunjin having a brief Weverse exchange with a fan about Laufey's music.

"Yunjin I would die if you'd cover a Laufey song," wrote the fan.

In response to the comment, Yunjin wrote: "Omg I would love to."

The post of the exchange went on to receive excited comments from fans online, who applauded the idea of having Yunjin put her own spin on one of Laufey's tracks. Some even came bearing song suggestions.

There were also those who urged Yunjin to go a step further by making music with the Icelandic vocalist.

With conversations about the two gaining traction on X, it was not long before Laufey herself took notice of what was going on. 

"Wait what is happening," the 'Fragile' act asked fans.

Then in a completely unexpected move, Yunjin, tweeting through the official LE SSERAFIM account, introduced herself to her musical hero and expressed her love for her. 

"Hi I'm Yunjin I love you I love you I love youuu," she wrote.

In her reply to Yunjin, Laufey not only reciprocated the 21-year-old artist's feelings, but also told her that the two of them should "sing together sometime".

Having released her sophomore studio album Bewitched in early September, Laufey is now gearing up for the North American leg of her The Bewitched Tour, which will kick off in San Francisco on 9 October. The tour is set to continue with shows across the United Kingdom and Europe in 2024. 

Aside from embarking on LE SSERAFIM's FLAME RISES tour alongside members Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Kazuha, and Hong Eunchae, Yunjin has also featured on the group's first studio album, UNFORGIVEN, and released three solo singles — 'I ≠ DOLL', 'love you twice', and 'blessing in disguise' — this year.
