Liam & Noel Gallagher don’t look back in anger, Oasis to reunite — definitely maybe?

If reports are to be believed, one of Britpop’s most influential bands is set to reunite after over a decade of acrimony.

The Times newspaper claims that industry insiders are fairly certain that Oasis will reform, 15 years after they played their last gig at the V Festival in the UK in 2009. Liam and Noel Gallagher's tumultuous relationship boiled over after that show, when they had a physical fight before a concert in Paris, and Noel quit the band.

Rumours are swirling that the brothers' legendary rock band will play Heaton Park in Manchester and Wembley Stadium in London, with whispers of a Glastonbury headliner slot to boot.

Both Liam and Noel seem to be confirming these reports. Liam posted on X: “See you down the front.”

During Liam's Main Stage headline set at Reading 2024, he also played ‘Definitely Maybe’ in full ahead of its 30th anniversary reissue. The audience could see the date "27.08.24" flashing on Liam’s screens. "8am" could also be spotted flashing along with the date.

Meanwhile, Noel posted a teaser announcement to his Instagram page, hinting at a drop coming at 8am on 27 August.
