Since the release of '1057', the profile of Jasmine Sokko has definitely heightened, and her spot at the top of Spotify's Singapore Top 50 signalled that many in Singapore are listening intently.
But as the elusive artist prepares her next sonic venture, she has released four versions of '1057', each remixed and reimagined by four various producers from Singapore and Malaysia.
Presenting the 1057 Remix EP, it features works by Malaysian DJ/producer Cuurley, along with Singaporean producers Perk Pietrek, Brannlum and ARNT. Cuurley gave the stirring track a "progressive house" spin, while Perk felt inspired immediately when working with Jasmine's vocals.
"It came naturally for me when I decided to throw in one of my personal favourite sounding 808 and stomp kick," he explains, "along with one of the snappiest snares I could find."
