As we've previously reported, audio-visual collective Syndicate recently collaborated with Uniqlo Singapore to create brand new, wholly original music for their newly opened flagship at Orchard Central. In doing so, Syndicate went deep into their own crew, alongside tabbing Singaporean favourites outside, to curate a fantastic in-store playlist for the Japanese clothing giants.
Indeed, if you've had the chance to shop at the outlet in the past few weeks, your retail experience was most definitely enhanced by the all-local soundtrack on offer - ranging from left-field instrumental hip-hop to experimental bass and beat music. These productions are divided into two distinct playlists labeled Day & Night, containing 24 unique tracks in total.
Featuring outstanding productions from .gif, blankverse, Fauxe, Claude Glass (Isa Ong of Pleasantry and sub:shaman), Intriguant, Jason Tan, Kaye, Night Dives, Tim De Cotta, Vandetta and Syndicate figureheads Cherry Chan and Kiat - the compilation takes "inspiration from Japanese music-making of high craftsmanship and attention to details."
You listen to both playlists on YouTube (Night & Day), Spotify (Night & Day), and Bandcamp (Night & Day). Or you can stream it below in the meantime.
