Earlier this year, homegrown audio-visual arts collective and record label Syndicate collaborated with Uniqlo Singapore to create brand new original music for their flagship store at Orchard Central. The result was 24 gorgeous productions from 12 outstanding local beatmsiths, made available in-store to soundtrack your shopping experience, and online as well.

Now the two entities have teamed-up once again to present you with a fresh compilation for this festive Yuletide season. Featuring 11 incredible Singaporean producers (many of them returning favourites), this 11-track effort will be playing exclusively at Uniqlo Orchard Central during the year-end Christmas period.

The beatsmiths called-up include Syndicate mainstays like Cherry Chan, .gif, Intriguant, Kiat, Vandetta and Koflow - alongside friends from the beat-making community such as Night Dives, Reiki, blankverse, Claude Glass (aka Isa Ong of Pleasantry and sub:shaman) and FAUXE.

As Taku Morikawa, CEO of Uniqlo Southeast Asia explains, “Syndicate has been working closely with us since the opening of our flagship store in September and creating music that has been well received by our customers. We are delighted to have been able to provide a platform for local artists over the last few months with the Global Flagship Store, and our work with the local community will continue for the foreseeable future. Our upcoming Christmas campaign will also feature works from Syndicate and we look forward to hearing from them again over Chinese New Year!"

Kiat, co-founder, Syndicate adds, “Since the first collaboration with the Uniqlo brand, there has been positive feedback not only from the local music community but also from people as far as Iceland and Germany sending me messages saying how they have discovered a lot more Singaporean producers through this project. We’re all really glad that Uniqlo has been really supportive from day one and happy to contribute some merry music for the season!”
