After releasing a cryptic 'guess the artist' illustration yesterday, Jakarta-based festival We The Fest has released the first wave of acts on this year's line-up. Leading the nine international acts announced so far are Lorde, alt-J, and Odesza. Six Indonesian acts have also been announced, including Seringai, Mooner and Teza Sumendra.
So far, the international acts skew heavily electronic, what with HONNE, Moon Boots, Petit Biscuit, and Louis the Child also on the line-up. But there is Lorde, the huge pop headliner, and also folky singer-songwriter James Bay and Californian rockers The Neighbourhood. As for local acts, Seringai, Mooner and Teza Sumendra will be joined by Maliq & D'Essentials, Pijar and Semenjana.
This is the festival's fourth year, and will follow last year's format and run for three days straight. There are more acts to be announced, so keep your eyes peeled.
We The Fest will take place in Jakarta from 20 to 22 July. Buy tickets here.
