Ever since M2M disbanded in 2002, Marit Larsen and Marion Ravn have been keeping busy with their own solo careers back in their native Norway. But despite the pop duo's 22-year absence, hits such as 'Don't Say You Love Me', 'Pretty Boy' and 'Mirror Mirror' continue to live on in the hearts of every millennial.

One of their more famous songs, 'The Day You Went Away', contains they lyrics " “I remember, date and time / September 22nd, Sunday, 25 after 9". Which is why last Sunday, on 22 September at precisely 9.25AM (Oslo time), the Norwegian staged an unlikely reunion on social media!

The pair came together to do an acoustic rendition of, what else, 'The Day You Went Away', on their Instagram accounts.

The caption states, "Let’s give this story a better ending…". Is M2M teasing a full-time comeback here? Or was this just a one-time reunion to commemorate a meaningful date? Marion's T-shirt which reads "WTF IS A HAIM?" might even indicate future co-headling tour!

We certainly hope so, because we've been lonely since the day, they day they went away.
