Celebrating ten vibrant years in the Jamaican sound system culture, Jakarta’s Yella Sky Sound System drops their latest EP, The Global Steppers. Helmed by the prolific Agent K, this landmark release is a culmination of a decade’s worth of musical exploration and international collaboration.

With contributions from artists spanning the globe—Jalifa (Trinidad & Tobago), King Spade (the Philippines), Masia One (Singapore), and Mehdiman (Iran)—the five-track collection delivers a dynamic fusion of reggae, dub, and steppers music. Each track brims with the unique flair of its collaborators, supported by expert production from Japan's Sak-Dub-I and Indonesia's OMEMI.

Born in 2014, Yella Sky Sound System started as a modest home studio with a big dream to bring Jamaican sound system culture to Indonesia. Their early success, highlighted by the debut album General Irie in 2017, set the tone for their rise.

Overcoming challenges like the global pandemic, Agent K and the collective persevered, growing their influence across Southeast Asia and the Caribbean. Now, The Global Steppers celebrates their enduring legacy, connecting fans worldwide with a shared love for dub steppers music.
