After dazzling us at two sold-out shows during 2013's Mosaic Music Festival, Japanese post-rock heroes mouse on the keys will once again be returning to the Esplanade for yet another instrumental master class as part of Super Japan – Japanese Festival of Arts.
SingJazz Festival 2016 helped made it possible for us to bring you this week's news. (What is this?)
Fusing elements like jazz, classical, funk and post-rock into one alert, virtuoso package - mouse on the keys have become known for their dynamic and intricate live performances. And as if the three of them weren't already a tour de force by themselves, they'll also be joined by saxophonist Jun Nemoto, trumpeter Daisuke Sasaki and VJ artist Rokapenis to present an audio-visual spectacle for this special Super Japan performance.
The band just released their magnificent latest album The Flowers of Romance last year, and they'll also soon be dropping their first live album Live at the Red Bull Studios Tokyo, which will be available for purchase at the show.
BANDWAGON TV
mouse on the keys takes place on 20 May 2016 at the Esplanade Recital Studio at 7.30pm and 10pm. Click here for ticketing details.
