Music, like other industries, is moving towards Web3. But what does that exactly mean?
Interested parties have the opportunity to learn more about NFTs (non-fungible tokens), the metaverse, and more at M1nted Asia, Malaysia's first-ever NFT conference and festival happening from 22 to 28 August. The event features specially-curated experiences where attendees can interact with and learn from the most reputed names in the Web3 world.
"We are thrilled and privileged to have in attendance some of the biggest names in the industry at M1nted." Shares Iqbal Ameer, CEO of The Livescape Group, the organizers of M1nted Asia. "As leading lights of the Web3 world, audiences would find their insights and experiences indelible to understanding the potential of the space and the freedom it provides."

But the focus on music does not end there. The final day of the conference, 28 August, will feature insightful panel discussions, keynotes, and fireside chats on how music NFTs are changing the way fans connect with their favorite artists.
Among the notable sessions include a panel discussion on incorporating collaboration and shared ownership in NFT music, featuring Singaporean singer-songwriter Charlie Lim and Bandwagon Asia founder Clarence Chan. Both speakers are also members of The Great Wave, an artist collective DAO.

There will also be discussions on how the metaverse has impacted the music industry (with DAO Records founder Vandal), and how web3 is solving issues related to music rights, royalties, and ownerships (with Christian Theseira, Soul Lab Records founder).
