The dreamy 21-year-old singer-songwriter mxmtoon is coming back with new music on 24th March.

Describing the track as "sad music that isn't sad but is also sad", the ukulele-playing vocalist recently announced 'sad disco' as her upcoming single. 

In a previously-posted Tiktok of the 'prom dress' hitmaker, mxmtoon has shared a short snippet of her singing the unreleased song. From the short 30-second video, the lyrics tell of an isolated, lonely girl that throws herself a 'sad disco' possibly either in a spirit of acceptance, self-pity, or both.

Introspective and lightly self-deprecating, it is speculated that the release would be a part of the musician's next album, which has been promised to be released later this year by the singer herself.

The single follows after her February drop, 'mona lisa' which holds the Oakland-based vocalist's signature contemplative tone over her self-image and worth. The young singer-songwriter will also be heading on tour to North America later this year, together with fellow Youtube alum, chloe moriondo.
