Naniwa Danshi have released a music video for 'Special Kiss'.

The J-pop group have dropped a visual for the sweet love song 'Special Kiss' today, 31 January. The track comes as the official soundtrack of the new Japanese film, Nanoni, Chigira-kun ga Amasugiru (or And Yet, You Are Sweet in English) which stars Naniwa Danshi's very own Kyohei Takahashi. 

Much like the film, the track talks about the bitter feelings of an unrequited crush. Originally a manga, Nanoni, Chigira-kun ga Amasugiru follows the story of Maaya Kisaragi (played by Mei Hata) who is facing rejection and online ridicule after confessing to her crush, but then surprisingly finds comfort in the school's most popular guy, Sui Chigira (played by Kyohei Takahashi).

"We are all really happy with how 'Special Kiss' turned out! Not only is getting to share a new single with our fans always a reason to celebrate, this one is the theme song to my first solo-starring movie, And Yet, You Are So Sweet," said Kyohei Takahashi in an official statement.

"My character in the movie is a high schooler, so a bit younger than I am really, but the age difference I think makes me appreciate what he goes through to understand the excitement and bitterness of figuring out what love is. That's the main theme to 'Special Kiss' as well, and it was super fun to see how the other guys played it out in their solo scenes for the music video! At any rate, as long as our fans like it too, that's all that matters!"

'Special Kiss' follows the release of Naniwa Danshi's single 'Happy Surprise'. The group also released their debut album, 1st Love last July, which features 10 tracks that all highlight the group's sweet and charming musicality.
