The new Geralt of Rivia has arrived.
On 22 May (Wednesday), Netflix unveiled the first look of Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia, replacing Henry Cavill, in the upcoming fourth season of the fantasy series The Witcher with a brand-new teaser trailer. He is set to play the lead role for the final two seasons of the show, which will follow the events from Andrzej Sapkowski's books Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow, and Lady of the Lake.

Netflix revealed Cavill's exit from The Witcher in October 2022, following the end of the show's third season.
"My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures," Cavill wrote in a statement on social media upon his departure from the show. "In my stead, the fantastic Mr. Liam Hemsworth will be taking up the mantle of the White Wolf. As with the greatest of literary characters, I pass the torch with reverence for the time spent embodying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam's take on this most fascinating and nuanced of men. Liam, good sir, this character has such a wonderful depth to him. Enjoy diving in and seeing what you can find."
Production for Season 4 of The Witcher began in April.
