no rome is back with a new take of a nostalgic 2017 single.
'Seventeen' is lifted off the Filipino singer-songwriter's upcoming EP RIP Indo Hisashi, co-produced by Matty Healy of The 1975. The re-release takes it slow with soothing synths paired with lyrics that look back at the days of "how it used to be so easy." The 22-year-old's latest offering follows the release of 'Do It Again,' his highly anticipated debut single under British independent record label Dirty Hit.
"Seventeen is where you can do anything you want without immediate consequences, I guess I tried to encapsulate that feeling in this song," no rome tells The Fader in an email about 'Seventeen,' which was part of Ryan Hemsworth's Secret Sounds project in 2017. "I was at my friend's house, we talked about a person and how he fell off. Things were easier when we were younger, that kinda made me think about everything I wrote on this whole song."
