ena mori has been checking off items on her bucket list in a quick but fashionable manner.
This past January, the Filipino-Japanese artist made several dreams come true in the UK, where she played four shows for Sofar Sounds London. Between those shows, she had the chance to explore London, visit iconic sites in music history, and enjoy the local fare, among many things.
"I was definitely nervous to go out of my comfort zone but I'm so glad I took this opportunity and very grateful for all the things I've experienced throughout my residency," the Await Award-winning singer shares in a post.
While the thrill of her latest adventures run fresh in her veins, Bandwagon caught up with ena mori to give a rundown on the five best places she visited in London.

Bricklane
Bricklane is one of my favourite places I’ve visited, and the most frequent during my stay. Bricklane is this subculture-driven, vibrant town with loads of markets and people. There’s this beigel shop called Beigel Bake that’s super tasty. I also had a show here in Bricklane, a jazz bar called Ninety One Living Room. I just love the energy in this town, and the people are so vibrant and wild.
Tate museum
Every time I travel I always gravitate towards visiting museums, and Tate is one of my favourites that I’ve seen. So many kinds of art with different backgrounds and stories and I spent a long time taking everything in.
Borough Market
I went to the Borough Market with my mother when she was visiting, and we just had such a good time bonding and trying different food in the market. There was this paella stand we went to and I think that was the best paella I’ve ever had in my life.
Rough trade
Rough Trade is an independent record store that is located in my favourite town, Bricklane, and I spent hours discovering different records and books there.
Abbey Road Studios
I had to blink a few times to make sure I wasn’t dreaming. Entering Abbey Road Studios was truly something out of my capacity of thought, and I still cannot believe that I was able to see what it looks like in real life.
History was made in Abbey Road and so many of my favourite artists have gone through the same door; it is just unbelievable. My favourite part of the studio was the garden. I sat on a little bench in the garden with my coffee wondering how many artists have sat on this bench to take a break.
