You could call it a Laneway Festival for hardcore punk diehards — what with the stunning variety of acts crammed into one entire day — but Kota Singa's ambition lies in a direction wholly tangential from the indie giant.
Celebrating the best of Singaporean hardcore music, Kota Singa Hardcore Fest will take place entirely at The Substation on August 13th, at 4pm onwards. The line-up boasts a sprawling list of names that range from brand new acts to old favourites.

Pioneering group Obstacle Upsurge, who stand as one of the first all-girl hardcore bands in Singapore, will be performing a rare set, alongside C.S.O. (who we name-dropped under our best of 2016 list), Yumi, Radigals, BC, Pazahora, among many other names.
Kota Singa Hardcore Fest is a collaboration between collective Kota Singa and DIY punk label Prohibited Projects. Tickets will be on sale for $20 at the door.
