Made up of brothers Irfan Ramli and Hydhir Ramli (who you may also recognize from Tacit Aria), Permanence is a freshly-minted instrumental duo hailing from Singapore.

The brand new project from the music scene veterans presents listeners with a stark departure from their post-hardcore roots, as we see the sibling duo embarking in an instrumental, post-rock direction.

As their debut single 'Kielyr' showcases, Permanence is a band with composite songwriting vision, combining inspired odd-time signatures with jarring textures that alternate between immersive and propulsive.

"Having been in bands for most of our lives, we were always fascinated with the intimacy between artist and audience in an instrumental setting where both benefits from each of its own, a unique takeaway," Hydir explains.

"Exclusively produced and engineered, the record is a culmination of our journey as independent musicians here in Singapore."

This single is the exciting first step towards the eventual release of their freshman EP entitled Primordial, set to drop on 21 April.
