American singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers has pulled through with her "election promise".
Amidst an exhausting elections week for Americans, the boygenius member, via Twitter, promised to cover the Goo Goo Dolls' 1998 hit 'Iris' if current US President Donald Trump lost the bid for re-election. The singer made good on her promise, and has enlisted folk-pop singer Maggie Rogers for the one-off performance.

Today (14/11), both Phoebe and Maggie announced that their cover of 'Iris' is available exclusively on Bandcamp for the next 24 hours. While the track is free to stream, the two singers urge people to donate in support of Fair Fight, a non-profit organisation that promotes fair elections in the US.

Anticipation around a rendition of the Goo Goo Dolls' 'Iris' started when Phoebe posted a snippet of her playing the hit song on the guitar on her Instagram story. Since then, the singer's fans have been relentlessly asking for a full track - guess today is that day.
