In all of its glitz and glam, the 2020 Billboard Music Awards have drawn to a close.
Airing on Wednesday evening in the US, the major event was broadcasted live from the Grand Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles to the rest of the world – a show not to be missed from its star-studded attendance of top artists, breathtaking performances, to its most deserving winners.
The first chapter of the awards kicked off this year announcing the most promising artists in its picks in September. Leading the nominations were Post Malone with 16 nods, followed by Lil Nas X with 13 and Billie Eilish with 12. Today, Post Malone brought home a total of 9 awards, including Top Artist, Top Male Artist, and Top Rap Artist.

Rapper Killer Mike of Run the Jewels became the recipient of the inaugural Billboard Change Maker Award, given to those who spark change through their music, celebrity, and community.
Throughout his 20-year music career, @KillerMike has been instrumental in social justice and civil rights movements and that is why he is our Billboard Change Maker! Congrats! #BBMAs pic.twitter.com/GIwiSUmdJM

Hand-in-hand with the ceremony, the most established artists in today’s music history also delivered performances each show-stopping on their own.
BTS
Highly anticipated was the spectacle put up by K-pop titans BTS, known for incredible sets to go with their explosive vocals and choreography. Not letting the audience down, the seven-member boy group shows off their immaculate performance of their smash hit ‘Dynamite’, dressed in all red suits at Terminal 2 of the Incheon International Airport – backed up by a talented band (virtually) for a jazzed-up version of the song.
John Legend
Our love for @johnlegend will Never Break. ❤️🎙 #BBMAs pic.twitter.com/9xznsTm3zj

John Legend has always been able to embody the heart-wrenching emotions of what he sings, but his powerful ballad took a new form today, dedicating ‘Never Break’ to his wife, Chrissy Teigen. Legend belts out the vocals of the song as an ode to maintaining strength and love in hardship, sitting at the piano which carried the length of the performance.
Demi Lovato

Down in the midst of the US’ whirlwind of elections, Demi Lovato brought to life her latest politically charged release ‘Commander In Chief’ at the Billboard Music Awards. With direct invocations such as “We’re in a state of crisis, people are dying, while you line your pockets deep, Commander in Chief. How does it feel to still be able to breathe?”, the prominent singer calls out the current president of the US, not forgetting the bigger picture even in the light of a music ceremony to honour this year’s best artists.
Post Malone
Can't get over how amazing @PostMalone and @TylaYaweh's #BBMAs performance was. pic.twitter.com/5C7vr3SX55
— Billboard Music Awards (@BBMAs) October 15, 2020
Superstar Post Malone has dominated the awards this year, and it’s no surprise that he would dominate the show too. Stowed away in a remote location in Los Angeles, Post Malone delivered the light and melodic ‘Circles’, which currently has been streamed over a billion times on Spotify.
En Vogue
Now that's how you end the #BBMAs, @EnVogueMusic! 👏👏 pic.twitter.com/bfvLDjgczM
— Billboard Music Awards (@BBMAs) October 15, 2020
R&B group En Vogue reunited at the Billboard Music Awards to celebrate their 30th anniversary. A fitting closer to this year's ceremonies, En Vogue performed their 1992 smash hit, 'Free Your Mind'.
