Two of the hottest hip-hop artists from Southeast Asia have joined forces for a new single.

Titled 'MING LING', the project — which was released on 12 August — is a collaborative effort between rappers RAMENGVRL and Yung Raja, who hail from Indonesia and Singapore respectively.

Fast-paced and infectious, the track is a showcase of the artists' rapping prowess as well as a tribute to Asia.

"While the mission of 'Asian representation' might seem like it’s been done before, there are still areas that have received less exposure than the others," shared RAMENGVRL, who has won multiple Anugerah Musik Indonesia (AMI) awards.

She added that working with her Singaporean collaborator was a "seamless" process.

"There’s a lot of Asian references lyrically and Yung Raja brings so much spice to the track. I genuinely believe that this will be the anthem that people are going to vibe with."

Yung Raja echoed her sentiments and called 'MING LING' a "super special" track.

With a new song under her belt, RAMENGVRL is now preparing to stage her first headline show in Malaysia in two years at The Bee, Publika on 19 August. Following that, she will perform at the KV Fest in Indonesia on 28 August.
