rei brown just dropped a new single. 

On Friday (27/05), New York-based Japanese producer rei brown shared his second single 'Thinking Bout You' via Jimaku Super. The new track, which follows the release of 'Could I Be Somebody', features 88rising act Joji.

"I wrote my part mostly in the context of a long-distance relationship," rei brown says. "There are hints in it that suggest it takes place in a different more sci-fi reality."

'Thinking Bout You' is rei brown's second collaboration with Joji. They previously toured together on Joji's 2019BALLADS1 Tour, followed by the release of 'Normal People' off Joji's 2020 album Nectar.

brown is scheduled to release his 15-track full-length album Xeno on 8 July 2022.

"I think the word Xeno is essential, it’s why I named the album Xeno," brown adds. "It’s how I’ve related to the world for most of my life — as other, a foreigner, a stranger. Songs talk about being metaphorically and literally being an alien."
