Rico Blanco just dropped his own (Rico's Version) track.
On Friday (13/10), the Filipino singer-songwriter unveiled a re-recorded version of the Rivermaya hit 'You'll Be Safe Here' via Universal Music Group Philippines. The track's debut surprised many fans, who thanked Blanco on social media, calling its release "worth the wait" after the original version was pulled from Rivermaya's artists pages on streaming platforms.

"I heard you guys," Blanco posted on his socials with a teaser clip of him in the studio, prior to the release of the track.

Coincidentally, Moira Dela Torre also released her own version of 'You'll Be Safe Here' off the Can't Buy My Love soundtrack on the same day. The popular Spirits theme song has been covered numerous times, delivered by the likes of ST. WOLF, Kean Cipriano, Elmo Magalona, Janine Teñoso, and Adie.
'You'll Be Safe Here' is regarded as one of the most popular songs by Rivermaya. Its reach went regional in the early 2000's and won the hearts of many music fans across Asia and Europe.
