Scooter Braun is now the sole CEO of HYBE America.
In an announcement made on 25 January, Variety confirmed that the Ithaca Holdings founder is now the only CEO of the HYBE-power company after former co-CEO Lorenzo Yoon reportedly stepped down.
HYBE America—home to acts like Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande—was established after the Korean entertainment powerhouse merged with Braun's Ithaca Holdings as part of the former's rebranding in 2021.
According to HYBE's community briefing last November, the US-based label is helming a global girl group audition project in partnership with Universal Music Group. The project is said to have received over 100,000 applicants, some of which have been selected to undergo training. The girl group, which combines the very best of K-pop and the American music industry, is said to be revealed soon.
