“Future of K-Pop” Lee Chan 이찬 a.k.a. SEVENTEEN’s DINO is back with a brand-new solo track and mixtape, ‘Wait’. And just like how the song opens, “Walking on your mind / 마음을 향한 걸음마 (Baby steps towards your heart),” his irresistible charms are gently coming to the spotlight once more.

‘Wait’ follows DINO’s 2022 self-penned release ‘High Five’. It is SEVENTEEN’s youngest’s third mixtape since ‘0’ (ZERO) and ‘The real thing’, both released in 2017. It is also the 13-member group’s 20th mixtape to have been released.

“서로의 맘이 가벼워질까 봐 / 조금 무서워져서” (I’m just a little worried our feelings will grow shallow) the ace dancer croons in his velvet tone, with an appeal and a promise: “Please don’t tell me, ‘Wait’ / 너를 붙잡고 말해 우리를 / 의심하지마 Don’t worry” (I’ll hold you close and tell you / Not to question us, don’t worry”

Its slick piano-driven groove was composed by DINO himself along with the prolific Ohway! (PRISMFILTER) and SEVENTEEN’s ever-reliable producer WOOZI, who also penned the words with the group’s virtuoso maknae.

The music video, directed by RIGEND FILM’s Jooae Kim, brings the artist’s formidable talent to the fore:

DINO’s ‘Wait’ is also accompanied by the 4th volume of The Thirteen Tapes (TTT), an interview photobook series made to coincide with the release of the members’ mixtapes. The project began with HOSHI’s ‘Spider’ in 2021, then WOOZI’s ‘Ruby’ and VERNON’s ‘Black Eye’.

“It is a true visual feast, with DINO breaking away from his usual image to sport his dazzling visuals as well as looks based on turn-of-the-century and cyberpunk themes,” described talent agency PLEDIS Entertainment.

SEVENTEEN is currently on their FOLLOW to Japan tour, just following the release of their 11th mini-album SEVENTEENTH Heaven and their historic participation at the UNESCO Youth Forum.
