SMTOWN just opened 2022 with a bang.
Last Saturday (1/1), SM Entertainment welcomed the New Year with #SMTOWN2022 : SMCU EXPRESS @ KWANGYA, a free virtual concert that featured its star-studded roster. The show set a new view record for a Korean online concert with 51 million streams in 161 regions worldwide.

With 40 stages and the live debut of new supergroup Girls On Top, the likes of BoA, H.O.T's Kangta, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls' Generation members Taeyeon and Hyoyeon, aespa, EXO Kai, Red Velvet, SHINee's Onew, Key, and Minho, NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, and more appeared at the concert.

The concert was streamed via YouTube, Beyond LIVE, TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitch.
SMTOWN's latest milestone tops last year's Cultural Humanity concert, which had 35.83 million streams across multiple platforms.
Before capping off 2021, SM Entertainment released its winter album SMTOWN 2022 : SMCU EXPRESS with 10 tracks featuring its artists.
