There's a new hip-hop group in town!

On 23 August, Sony Music Entertainment Japan announced that they are debuting a new group named Baby Mic Candy. Hailing from Japan and Thailand, the trio—comprising MOTO, GOLI, and YUKI—are on a mission to charm the world with their addictive candy-like music.

The members were formerly a part of a 10-member J-pop group which disbanded in 2019. Since the pandemic, MOTO, GOLI, and YUKI banded together to form Baby Mic Candy and worked hard to fuse together Japanese and Thai influences in their music, be it sonically or lyrically.

To formally introduce themselves to the world, the trio will be dropping their debut single 'RUN', a multilingual hip-hop track that perfectly showcases Baby Mic Candy's energy and defiant spirits, this 31 August

"Listening to our debut single ‘RUN’, I hope you can feel the possibilities and expectations of the word "anyone" in a positive way, as well as the passion of BMC and the hotness of Thailand. It is a song that makes you feel close to us, with the thought of stepping forward together.” This song isthe start of the BMC project, in which the members, representing Generation Z, will present the significance of their existence as artists in the country," said GOLI.
