SOS have stepped into their new era.
Formerly known as She's Only Sixteen, the Filipino indie pop quartet released their latest single and first Filipino-language offering 'Seryoso' via Bavarian Records. The fresh track comes alongside the premiere of the Jericho Rosales-starring music video.
"'Seryoso' is a continuation of the theme of our previous EP, The Other Side. It’s about looking back to the times when things were simple and comparing it to the present where things have changed," vocalist Roberto Seña shares in a statement. "The track is a juxtaposition of being serious but also about taking it easy. It’s confusing, honestly, but I think that’s exactly what life is. At the end of the day, it’s just about balance moving forward."
The new track was written after a bike ride between Seña and singer-songwriter Ebe Dancel. "He said to keep it conversational; the same way I wrote in English," the SOS frontman recalls. "The next day, we began writing. The process was the same when the body of the song was done, everything else was the usual playful process that we have when we make music."
