Taking place over four days this weekend, Soul Island Singapura is a feel-good series of festivities that aims to celebrate the soulful side of Singapore.
Organizing by the good folks at Singapura Dub Club, this unique event will be a family-friendly affair encompassing music, film, BBQ, pool parties and lots more!
Kicking off on Thursday, 30 March at Kilo Lounge, their first function is called BASSment SOUL, and will feature special guest selectors such as Soul Vibes from Canada and PART2STYLE from Japan. They'll also be joined by DJ Justo on the decks, Rumshot on live percussion, and Singapore's reggae queen MAS1A on the mic as the master of ceremonies.

Subsequently, they'll also be hosting a special screening of the critically-beloved Amy Winehouse documentary, Amy, as part of their SOUL MOVIE NITE at The Projector on Friday, 31 March. The will also be an after party at the venue's Intermission Bar showcasing live sets from Vandetta and Instigator Afrobeat Orchestra and DJ set by Justo and a dance performance by Soul Shakers Singapura.
Saturday, 1 April finds the crew holding an exclusive invite-only SOUL ISLAND POOL PARTY at Amara Hotel with music from Clement Chow, PART2STYLE and Soul Vibes on the decks while Rumshot holds it down on live percussion and saxophone. Do note that only those that have attended Thursday or Friday’s Soul Island events and Singapura Dub Club members can RSVP for this event,
To cap things off, there will be a chilled-out SOUL FAMILY BBQ at Camp Kilo Charcoal Club on Sunday, 2 April. This family-friendly affair will feature a "Rasta Market", DJs such as Soul Vibes, Ras Irie and Rumshot, alongside energetic live band performances from MAS1A & Reggae Remedy and Sambarang Batucrang.
