It's time to return to the world of Kingdom Hearts.

On Sunday night (10/04), Square Enix and Disney announced that Kingdom Heart IV, the latest installment of the RPG series, is currently under development. They also revealed Kingdom Hearts: Missing-Link, a new mobile game, and Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road, which will be receiving its final chapter this August.

For the game's 20th anniversary, Kingdom Hearts IV goes big with a new look for its lead character Sora in an expansive and realistic world. His companions Donald and Goofy, as well as a new character named Strelitzia, also make an appearance in the announcement trailer.

On the other hand, Kingdom Hearts: Missing-Link will give players the chance to embark on a new adventure on their iOS and Android devices from the realm of Scala ad Caelum to the real world. A closed beta test in specific regions is planned for this year.

"We’re thrilled to celebrate the series’ 20th anniversary with the announcement of two new KINGDOM HEARTS titles," Kingdom Hearts series Brand Manager, Ichiro Hazama, says in a statement. "We’d like to thank the fans for all of their support over the years, and we can’t wait for them to experience all that’s to come for Sora."

Nana Gadd, Director of Walt Disney Games adds, "Sora is an original Disney video game hero like no other, beloved by our team, and fans across the world. We’ve been honored to work with Tetsuya Nomura and his team for two decades to introduce these original stories of discovery, courage, and friendship. This glimpse into Sora’s next adventure is just the beginning – we can’t wait to show more when the time is right."

Further details regarding the game's release will be announced soon.
