A fan's connection with their favourite artists goes deeper than just music. You celebrate their highest highs and are right by their side as they face their lowest lows no matter what. For SUPER JUNIOR and their ELFs, it's that and so much more.

On 6 August, Label SJ shared that Eunhyuk's father passed away and will pay their respects during a private funeral. The news follows the announcement of Siwon testing positive for COVID-19 and just hours before SUPER JUNIOR's scheduled Manila concert at SM Mall of Asia Arena. Even with a heavy heart, members Leeteuk, Yesung, Shindong, Donghae, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun flew over to meet their Filipino fans.

It's the shortest show SUPER JUNIOR has ever held but it's one that will take much longer to forget. In the span of a couple of minutes, the group and fans truly showed what it meant to be everlasting friends as they comforted each other during this difficult time and promised to always be by each other's side.

On the day of the scheduled concert, fans gathered at the MOA Arena to stand alongside the members and to show them that they'd be worth waiting for. Across an hour, SUPER JUNIOR shared heartfelt messages to their fans, adding that they initially hoped to reunite with Filipino ELFs on a much happier occasion. Nevertheless, the tearful members promised to return much stronger and better and deliver the show they had intended.

"I'm really speechless, I can't really think of what to say. I've performed numerous times and this is the first time, I've ever had this kind of opening. My sincerest apologies and I'm sorry is all I can say. We will make sure that we will complete this performance with the complete members of SUPER JUNIOR next time," said Donghae.

"This is very unexpected. I really didn't know a lot of you would have come today. I'm really sorry," said Shindong.

"A lot of you came from afar, I'm sorry that we can't continue with today's concert. Please stay safe and we will meet again in the future. We will surely come back with Siwon and Eunhyuk next time. Thank you", said Ryeowook.

"First of all, it's really saddening that we will not be able to see you while smiling. I know that a lot of you have come a long way and from long distances but seeing this arena filled with so many of you is really exciting. Thank you all for coming," said Kyuhyun.

"I really missed you guys. Just like how much you guys have missed us and waited for us, we really missed you and waited for this moment, even the members who are unfortunately unable to join us today. It's been so long since we've seen each other and it's unfortunate that we can't greet you guys with good performances. We're sincerely sorry but knowing that we'll be able to come back more often makes me feel better," said Yesung.

"We actually went through a lot of discussions about whether we should come to Manila or not but we eventually decided to come and greet our ELFs who have been waiting for us. We know that some of you might be affected by the postponement so this is our way of just showing some respect to you all. We love you and we'll come back as soon as possible," said Leeteuk.

Leeteuk also added the concert will push forward on another date. "Our SUPERSHOW is happy, fun and it's a show that gives you hope. To give you more excitement and hope, this concert is not cancelled but rather, it's postponed so I hope you guys can look forward to it. Just think of it this way, you just bought the tickets early," said the SUPER JUNIOR leader.

PULP Live World's Happee Go, fondly called Inang by K-pop fans, also thanked Filipino ELFs for trusting them despite the circumstances and promises another reunion for their blue hearts full of love for Super Junior.

Fans are asked to hold on to their tickets until further details regarding the postponed concert have been announced by PULP Live World.
