"We started working on this song late last year or early this year and our goal was to put more live drums with our new stuff," 1/2 of Tarsius, Diego Mapa, tells Bandwagon in a message. "The track also is a mix of midi and analogue synths.
"The title, I got from a bangka operator in Puerto Galera." Mapa adds. "I asked him why the waves were always rough crossing from Batangas to Galera or vice versa, especially in the morning. And he said it’s the high tide coming in which they call agos. Also, the lead synth that you hear in the intro, when I recorded it and came back to the mix, I couldn’t seem to remove the white noise that sound like beach waves attached to it. Hence, it became part of the song and thought, 'Agos' would be a nice title."
