Coldplay closed out the "first" leg of their Asia tour by bringing out another homegrown act to surprise the crowd.
On the last day of Coldplay's concerts in Bangkok, Chris Martin called out Thai alternative band Zweed n' Roll to perform to thousands at the Rajamangala National Stadium.

In a statement to Bandwagon, the band shared how "Coldplay is one of the bands that brought our band together and playing with Chris is one of the biggest honours we could ever imagine".

On Instagram, the group also posted a video clip of themselves performing a Coldplay cover way back in 2012, and added how the experience will become a "memory that will forever live in our hearts."

Zweed n' Roll is the latest Asian act to grace the stage alongside Coldplay, following the Philippines' Lola Amour and Dilaw, and Indonesia's MALIQ and D' Essentials. Thai-Italian singer Valentina Ploy also opened the Bangkok concerts, garnering new fans with her effervescent stage presence.
