Thailand’s Wicked Lights returns with a brand new single ‘Grasping At Straws’, a brooding introspective indie rock anthem framed by a lush cinematic soundscape.
Wicked Lights says, "A song about getting caught up in the game, which the protagonist realises isn't the right path forward. Sometimes it's necessary in order to do something. We have to take the long way round. With urgency and often feels we’re desperate to do whatever it takes."
"We get pummelled or thrown into the mud and to crawl out of the mud. We realise failure is only a part of it. There are also positives in the bad times we face. There is always a light at the end of a long tunnel. We take it all in our stride and we should pay no mind. We carry on, with a sense of poise and a little humour.”
Wicked Lights is the musical project and brainchild of Two Charuson, who has worked for 3 decades to hone his craft, learning a variety of instruments along the way in order to create his songs. The music of Wicked Lights touches on themes of disillusionment, joy, love, sadness, courage and playfulness. Playing most of the instruments himself, he and producer Montonn Jira have recorded 3 LPs, and 1 EP entitled Have A Nice Dream released last year.
