The Bloomfields are ready to deliver their fourth studio album A Drop In the Blue.
With their 10-track record, the Filipino retro-pop act pull influences from '60s rock, psychedelic pop, and '90s Britpop. "We didn't want to get tied down to a genre or image," lead singer and drummer Rocky Collado shares in a press release. "We didn't want to get pressured into having to find the next great hugot song or whatever. We wanted the freedom to explore ideas that aren’t normally explored in this kind of medium."
The Bloomfields will be launching A Drop In the Blue at Historia Boutique Bar and Restaurant in Quezon City on June 15 (Saturday) at 8 p.m. with Orange and Lemons, Munimuni, Shirebound and Busking, and Oh, Flamingo!. Tickets will be available at the door for PHP 300 (before 9 p.m.) and PHP 350 (after 9 p.m.). RSVP to the launch here.
