The fifth annual Trans Asia Music Meeting (TAMM) will take place in Okinawa, Naha city, Japan, this weekend.
The international music conference got its start in 2016 with the aim of building a music network between Okinawa and Asia. The Japanese music industry had, until recently, only to be aware of the domestic market while overlooking Asia. TAMM aims to correct that, as it opens itself up to become a place for the rest of the region to build a network, and share information within the industry.
Scheduled to take place over the course of three days are 1-on-1 meetings, presentations, talks, networking sessions and more. The Sakuraza Asylum festival will be running simultaneously over the conference's last two days, and will play a role in showcasing the region's music over the weekend.
Set to perform at the Sakuraza Asylum festival are The Bassons (JP), The Sakishima Meeting (JP), ALKDO (JP), DeerMX (JP), Goonam (KR), PYRA(TH) and more.
